Sustainability
ENNOstudio: The Green Code
Design with Purpose. Responsibility with Impact.
As an innovation and design studio, we create compelling digital experiences that not only impress through aesthetics and user-friendliness – but are also sustainable in the long term. For us, this also means taking responsibility. For resources. For our environment. For the future.
We don’t see sustainability as a trend, but as a design principle. And we live it holistically – in our daily lives, in our team, and in our processes and projects.
1. Sustainable by Default – In Our Daily Office Life
We build structures that make sustainable behavior easy – not the exception, but the standard:
- 50% remote culture reduces commuting – and emissions
Online meetings instead of business trips whenever possible - Public transport, bikes, and trains instead of cars or flights – with partial financial support
- Reusable materials & plastic-free alternatives
- Green electricity and energy-efficient devices – everything gets switched off at night
- Fresh, regional fruit and vegetables
- Plants in the studio – for cleaner air and a better mood
- Recycled materials: paper, hygiene products, textiles
- Fabric towels instead of disposable paper
- Waste separation & eco-friendly cleaning product

2. Digital Responsibility – Connected with Intention
We question the digital world we help shape – and actively work to reduce its footprint:
- Collaborative cloud tools – hosted as sustainably as possible
- Fewer emails, more Slack – to reduce data clutter
- Cutting down on unnecessary newsletters & digital distractions
- Ecosia as our default browser – search while planting trees
- Old devices? Responsibly recycled or passed on – for a second life
- We use AI tools mindfully and with energy efficiency in mind
- We prioritize partners with green data centers

3. Design with Impact – and Foresight
We are responsible for what we put out into the world. That’s why we design consciously – for ourselves and for our clients. With a focus on durability, efficiency, and meaning.
- Sustainable web design: data-optimized, energy-efficient, inclusive
- Use of resource-saving technologies (e.g. lightweight animations, modern image formats)
- Green hosting partners & optimized load times
- Reducing data waste through intentional UX and content design
- Actively guiding our clients toward sustainable choices throughout the design process
4. Creating Impact – Together
We’re part of a community and use our voice to help shape change:
- We collaborate with local and socially sustainable service providers
- We share our knowledge – most recently at the Berlin Product Designers Meetup with a talk on Inclusive Design, and in a webinar on digital accessibility
- We contribute to the discourse – through expert articles like “The European Accessibility Act: A Turning Point for Digital Inclusion” in Business Punk, or blog posts like this one on the principles of inclusive design
- For us, inclusion is a core part of sustainability and future-ready design

Our Conclusion
Sustainability is not a destination, it’s a journey. One we walk with awareness, curiosity, and genuine commitment, every single day. We’re constantly evolving and integrating new, meaningful practices into our daily work. Not for image. But out of convictin. With creativity, responsibility, and purpose, we’re shaping not only digital experiences, but also the future. For our clients, our team and the planet. Our actions are guided in many areas by the ESG criteria, a standard framework for sustainable business. But we believe: sustainability becomes truly impactful when it’s not only measurable, but also tangible and lived.

We are a design and innovation studio creating engaging, accessible digital experiences for everyone. Our team of product designers and strategic consultants combine beautiful design and creative strategies to build and promote user interfaces that make a real difference to people’s lives.
